Hi Susun:
I thoroughly enjoyed your call on WISH, I listened yesterday and watched some of your YouTube videos as well. I used to live in NY, my mother lived in Hyde Park and I wish I knew of you then so that I could've taken some of your workshops. Woodstock was one of my favorite places to go.
I told one of my friends at lunch today all about you and gave her your website address, also suggested she watch some of your YouTube videos and listen to your call this week-end. She and I used to share lots of good health tips and "stuff" on a daily basis when we worked together ( I got laid off. ), so I knew she'd love to hear about you. I hope that they can do an infusions talk with you next time.
Thank you for sharing so much good information.

I loved your Wise Woman Herbal book in 1993, when I had my first child. Your concoctions helped during both of my births and inspired me to explore herbs. Many of your ideas, from your book and subsequent writings, echoed mine and were also something upon which I built.
Thank you!

Listened to a 1996 lecture of Susun's this afternoon while doing household stuff. "Menopause, Metamorphosis, & Breast Cancer" (on THREE cassettes!) was presented at the 3rd International Herb Symposium. As usual, Susun's talk included some inconvenient truths. I am amazed at how, 14 years later, her advice, insights, and admonitions have stood the test of time. Thank you Susun! Thanks to you I avoid eatiing sprouts, I buy organic butter & oil, I drink clover blossom tea, and eat my beans & lentils. My world is better with you in it

Thank you Susun for writing "New Menopausal Years: The Wise Woman Way"! It literally saved my health, my sanity, and my ability to love myself. I entered my Crone-hood at 43, way too early by some standards. With your guidance, those turbulent early years were met with understanding, acceptance, and the warmth of knowing generations of Crones before me had
smoothed the path and paved it with love and the generosity of sharing their wisdom. In kind, I have given the gift of this book to everyone of my women friends who have entered this sacred circle. Five years later, I still depend on your words of wisdom, and have recently returned to my dog-eared copy to find strength and the healing that is so necessary to carry on in
health and with compassion.
Thank you so much!
With love, Cheryl

Hello Susun,
We have never met, but I have been studying/practicing your teachings and frequently reference two of your books: Healing Wise and The Childbearing Year. Additionally, I am close friends with Sarah Mancino, who has been an intern at your farm. We frequently share family meals and she introduced us to the concept of salad greens with nourishing herbal vinegars, tamari, and gamasio. Yum. She and another friend introduced me to your books/teachings and I am so grateful. I would love to keep up with you on Facebook. I will follow this message with a friend request.

Dear Susun:
…I wanted to thank you for starting the Wise Woman movement and for sharing your wisdom about herbal remedies with me. My friend told me about Nettle tea and I have been reading your Web site for a few weeks now. I also ordered your Healing Wise book today on Amazon…I wrote about what a difference Nettles have made for me on my blog post here: http://kkhymn.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/finding-a-few-more-spoons-with-nettle-tea/ If you read my blog, you will see that I have had major chronic conditions in my life including cerebral palsy, fibromyalgia, back pain and lupus. With fibromyalgia and lupus, it is hard to get through the day because you start off most often on an empty tank. But, the nettle tea is making a difference!... I love your guiding principles in the Wise Woman Tradition, especially with regard to health and illness being part of a cycle in our lives, that is constantly changing. And, the respect you have for Mother Earth and the herbal remedies she has given us. As I learn more about the Wise Woman tradition and incorporate it in my own life, I will share it with others. I hope you understand what a difference you have already made in my life. I thank you from the depths of my heart and spirit.

Hello Susun,
I apprenticed for you in the summer of 2006 (my last name was McAlpin then). I cherish the lessons I learned from you. I recently gave birth to a healthy and beautiful daughter Radha, and am so empowered to know that I am passing along my knowledge of the Wise Woman tradition to her. Apprenticing for you was difficult, transformative, and ultimately very healing.
Thank You!
