Hello to all,

My sister gave me your book "Menopausal Years" years ago, now I am 53 and the book became a "bible" to me. I am raised with some knowledge of herbs. There are not many books about menopause on the market like yours which cover all aspects, the body as well as soul and heart. The forewords of all chapters spoken by "Grandmother Growth" touch me whenever I read them, giving me the feeling that there is someone (inside myself-) who understands me deeply. It makes me cry in relief of whatever. This is something I miss in all other books I read about menopause. …

yours sincerely
Eva

hi Susun,

I recently came across your website and tried red clover tea for fertility
and am happy to report that after only a few weeks of using this infusion, I
had an increase in my menstrual flow, which was previously very scanty.
I'm very excited …

thank-you for providing such a wonderful resource for women,

Hi, Susun;

… I'm convinced that our well-being is in our own hands (and it's never been in someone else's hands, not really). Thanks for infusions! And, for showing older women how beautiful and valuable we are! And, for teaching us "wise ways" to care for ourselves! You are such a "gift";

Sincerely,
Charlotte

Dear Susun,

Where to begin? Thanks for being there!
I have been struggling with endometriosis since 1991 and bought your books shortly thereafter. Menopausal Years has been my bible for PMS and endo for years. I fled from gynocologists who wanted to do a hysterectomy on me then and have managed to get this far…

Thanks again!!
Lynn

Hi,

I just stumbled upon an article you contributed to Holistic Junction. There
was alot of good information in it. …

Thank you,
Lindsay

…I am loving the Healing Wise book and can't wait to get more books and videos. I badly want the Juliette de Baraclai Levi book. I used her book for children when my kids were young. They are now 23 1/2, 27 and 30! I really want to become a Wise Woman and Herbal Healer in my crone years and beyond (I will be 53 in April) and plan to take all of Susun's courses, one by one, if it takes me a decade to do it. I really appreciate the payment plan because I am disabled and money is terribly tight.

…Hugs,

Maitri

Your information is fabulous, and I've only scratched the surface of your work. As a woman who has been plagued with high estrogen my entire life, your common sense information about phytoestrogens is just what I needed to see. I'm always skeptical of "popular" remedies, even when they're alternative, so your advice that "Isolated phytoestrogens are not as safe as those 'in matrix'" was just what I had suspected. And I was very confused about the estrogenic effects of soy, being told alternately that it was the best thing for me and the worst thing.

Even more exciting for me is that I'm an organic baker about to open a bakery here in my hometown. My best-selling bread is a multi-grain/multi-seed loaf with lots of sesame and flax seed. I didn't see how I was going to avoid getting fat as a baker, but I now see that I'm definitely on the right road, using many phytoestrogen foods and using low-glycemic agave nectar instead of sugar in my cakes & pastries.

I would like to put together a pamphlet on phytoestrogens from natural food sources rather than from supplementation; about the importance of estrogen reduction for both men and women, and the role of phytoestrogens in that approach.

Also, as a pagan, I'm very excited about your "Green Witch" series. I've barely made a foray into your website, but I'm looking forward to seeing it all!

Thank you for your work and dedication,

Rev. Julian

which is wonderful …

Hello,

Just found your web site. …. I am now
waiting for spring & dandelion to grow. I no longer want to have my yard
look green like the fancy neighbors who spray constantly chemicals all over
to pollute the air. I just wished we had 5-10 acres away from every one. I
hope to learn more from the news letters. About eating the good weeds, that
I have growing but don't know them yet. Thank You.

Sincerely,
Rhonda

Dear Susun,

Your menopause book is just excellent - common sense, at last!! I'm 54,
last period over 2 years ago, and have been on the roller coaster of
emotional, spiritual and physical transformation for the past seven years.
Major things in my life tend to go in seven year chunks, so I wasn't
particularly surprised to find lately that it feels as though I've reached
another level.

I tried progesterone cream for a few months but the only
thing it seemed to do for me was to eradicate ongoing and long-standing
urinary tract infections, they stopped completely within days of using the
cream. … and I stopped using the cream a couple of months back.
And guess what - I have fewer hot flashes, sleep better, my weight has
stabilized (at about 7 kg more than it was, but it's stable now) and all
together I feel a whole lot better!

I'll be using your gentle and practical approach as the basis for looking after myself from now on in, and am taking my first tentative steps as a Crone, albeit a baby one!

xx

When an oncologist/surgeon said i must remove my ovaries, even though a tiny
cyst and an unclear 'mass' had remained unchanged for 3 years, i contacted
susun. her advice included using chickweed tincture, known for healing
growths. i've had 3 ultrasounds since then, and the latest shows the cyst is
unchanged and the mass is a small fibroid....neither requiring surgery.

susun not only quelled my worry, she gave me steps to act on thru this
crisis. her help was empowering and encouraging....as well as successful!
chickweed and susun are my friends for life!

susun, you are a blessing and a gift to so many.
thank you, dear sister.

Dear Susun,

My mom and I have used your books for years for all womanly questions and always refer to them whenever friends have questions as well. Thank you for all the wonderful information.

Bright blessings,
Marwa

I really enjoyed your writing on the Shamanic Herbalist. I am a 34 yr. old male living in Michigan and have found my way of study into herbs, psychology, cosmology, shamanism, Buddhism and the like. I am no master of anything but felt a like spirit when reading your words.

Thank You,
Paul

Dear Susun,

Thank you for the newsletter. Love all your stuff and have been following you for years.…

Thank you.

Hi

I've loved your work forever. . . . I picked up your menopause book and held it for some weeks till yesterday. . . .I've been teaching art in a correctional facility part of the day, part day in a junior high and have been feeling OFF, and there was your book. Yes! What I need is down time, quiet time, solo time! School districts provide generous sick leave, only I think I will privately call it wellness leave. I am home today, quiet, the headaches subsiding, doing better. Thank you for the wise reminders and for all your good work. I am out to the garden to make some sage tea--just what I had forgotten. This book is a goddessend to me because I have "forgotten," as we do, the important things.

Love and blessings,
Cathy

Dear Susun,

I started your Green Ally course on June 7, 2005. It's been two years and I just restarted this year's herbal garden. My journey thus far with Rosemary has been interesting. Because I have twenty some odd years of shamanic/witch training, when I first started this course I figured it would be quick. One season and I would know all Rosemary had to offer. I now realize this is a lifelong journey.
I would like to make a second installment payment. …
I have had...some very intuitive communications developing with my plant friend/s. My journey has been wonderful.

Sincerely,
Kelli

dear Susun,

…thank you for all the very helpful books that you have written regarding
women's health.

Dear Susun,

I live in Australia and have recently listened to an interview posted on my friend's website. I loved it, and I also love your articles in 'Sagewoman'. Having looked at your site for the first time just now, I'm thrilled by what I read and feel there.

I'm fortunate enough to be moving near my beloved, the rainforest on Mt Tamborine soon, where much connecting, conversation and healing is beginning to take place!
One day, I would love to come and learn with you, and really get the sap moving, throbbing! So, I am taking this opportunity to say thankyou for being you and doing the work you do, in the way you do it. What a gift we all are in each other!

Blessings,
Alicia

Greetings,

I enjoy your website & have 2 of Susun’s books. Thank you for making yourselves available to women. I appreciate the information and love and care that radiate, even from the books and web sites. …

Peace,
Tristesse

Dear Susun,

The seminar I took with you in Pompton Lakes on menapause several years ago
still helps me everyday. The things I learned that evening helped me to free myself from the misconceptions about the change of life that had come and the 'thud' of it
went away.

For instance, that the hot flashes are good and the little extra fat is
protection, is empowering in itself. As well as the deeper meanings of
things.

And so I thank you from my heart for your empowering work.
Sincerely, Amy
