I have had my copy of Healing Wise for 15 years. I have colored every picture and read the wise women spiral so many times the page is now falling out, it is quite possibly the most important book I have ever owned. Every one should have a copy.

Thank you Susun!!
~ Fauna

I love your book – Healing Wise!
My friend and I once read it aloud to each other as we drove cross country. For years it was all I would give friends/relatives for their birthdays.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Hi,

I took the workshop at Mirabai in Woodstock with Susun at the end of April. I am now making my infusions. I have made nettle, red clover, oatstraw, and burdock.

I appreciate your help. I want my daughter and a couple friends and myself to eventually take the workshop in Sept. on Chronic Problems.

Thank you.

Hello

Your website was forwarded to me by a friend of mine, and i felt enthused to make contact. i am a witch from my paternal adopted grandmother, and describe myself as in the tradition of the wise women....and the way your site is put together suggests that we have many similar attitudes.

i am in scotland, not far from edinburgh, so not able to pop over readily. however, i wanted to send you greetings and vibes. I have been reworking my website, and there are currently only a very few pages, but feel free to check it out on Inimaltherapy.com. hopefully it expresses well enough.

go well

Susun

I have moved to WA. I took your ABC to Herbalism in 2007 and I have applied the teachings to my life and I love it.

Hi Susun

I have a copy of your article Fertility After forty from your website, and I love it!
We've met a number of times, though it was a long time ago at some women's herbal conferences. I’m hoping you will give me permission to give this article to my clients with your full credit, of course. I’m happy to include your name, email and regular address, website and everything else in the full article.

I think it's brilliant and beautiful and so very well written, as well as containing such important information.

Many thanks for your wonderful work,
Holly

Hi there!

First of all, I want to tell you that I think your website is just WONDERFUL! Thank you for taking the time to share all of your knowledge with the rest of us!

Lindsay

Dear Susun

I want to thank you for writing your book The Healing Wise, I have started talking to one of my favorite plants, the dandelion. I love their sunny little faces and the way their leaves open up like they want a hug. This little plant humbles me. Every thing about it is good for us yet it is not treated with respect. I actually love them. Your book has verified my instincts as a child that plants have feelings and that they are my friend.

It is also wonderful to discover someone who has such a knowledge of "local plants". …

Thank you
Be Well
Lyn

Dear Susun:

I'm sure you've heard many thanks for your 7 Rivers of Healing correspondence course. Although I have not taken the course, its outline provided a framework to aid me in making an important health care decision: whether to proceed from blood testing and gluten free diet to biopsy to confirm a diagnosis of Celiac Disease. The outline itself helped me to address issues of harm to the body by having to reintroduce gluten into my diet to prepare for the biopsy; the "need" for a label, info vs. wisdom in what I was being told by doctors and Celiacs, etc.

For what it's worth, I've accepted that my dramatic improvement on a gluten free diet is evidence of a severe gluten intolerance, which a biopsy would confirm - and for which the only treatment is a gluten free diet. I'll forego the biopsy. Thank you so much for your course. As my daughters would say, the wise woman way rocks.

Hello Susun!

I am coming home to NY this summer and will be beginning my own studies of herbal medicine. I saw on your website that you have work/learn days and I would love to attend every one that I can, and maybe be able to work some more with you.

Arielle

Great to hear from you,

I was making my nettles infusion just before I got your facebook request! How splendid is that?! The quick up-date on myself is, I am a mom of a 28 month girl, Aylish, and a ten month boy, Niall. My husband and I both do acupuncture and oriental medicine, and I incorporate the western herbology into my practice as well. Life is sweet and harsh all at the same time, my heart has been stretched like crazy having kids! It's good to feel so much love and everything else that goes with marriage and kids! How are things with you? Are you still a goat lover? I fell in love with your goats too, never did get very good at milking them though. My daughter is in love with goat's milk, it is her number one comfort!

Lots of love to you Susun!
Christa

Thank you for all that you do! you are truly a beautiful soul.

Jennifer

Thanks for helping people remember that many of these weeds are valuable too.

Laura

I just want to thank you, as a single mom with 5 kids. Life can be hard sometimes. I feel so connected to others thru your website. I am hoping to soon have enough money to do the correspondence classes and attend a workshop (dreaming of that day). You are very much appreciated and loved. I have learned so much from you.

Nicole

Hi Susun,

I am enjoying your website and learning so much! :) I really like your approach to things like osteoporosis and other ailments that seem to plague our society… I have already ordered my purslane seeds... your article on purslane is terrific! I think we already have chickweed... though the leaves are fuzzy, not clean like the other chickweeds I have seen and eaten.

Thank you for all you do in helping to spread green knowledge... it is sorely needed.

Toni

Thanks and Praises to you, Dear Mother.

Your guidance, wisdom and empowered presence continue to carry me. Hoping your Mother's Day was filled with celebration and gratitude.

I love you!

Healing Wise is dancing with me and healing me wisely..

Hi Susun,

I was an apprentice several years back. To put an experience to my name, I had a run in with a goat named Uma while herding them:) Although I left early, meeting you and your style of teaching was one of the best experiences of my life.

Thanks,
Kimberly

Happy Mother's Day Susun for all the nurturing you put out into the universe.

Hi Susun,

I met you years ago in Alaska when you came to a conference for the midwives. You and I hung around together for several days. We went to eat at a seafood restaurant and ate oysters. I really don't expect you to remember me, as I forget half of the people I met.

Anyway, I continue to support and love what you do.

Hi Susun,

Susun,

Om and blessings Miss Weed!

I hope you are well!
My name is Lindsay and I am really interested in taking the shamanic herbal apprenticeship this coming June for so many reasons, the first being receiving as much physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual empowerment so as to know myself and my deep connection with nature, to reclaim my womanhood, so as to be for others a channel of light and empowerment! … This is really what I need actually something to shake me and wake me and bake me, maybe even break me!

I am looking for myself and my role on this earth, for a sense of faith and power, for a certainty of what I am and what I am here for! I am looking to be in service to the earth and listen, to go into my darkness....I have wanted to be a witch my whole LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!! aaaah! And I have made many excuses to avoid this work but now I want to stop pretending and living only half of myself!!!!!! …

sending you many regards and wonder!
sincerely,
Lindsay

…. I look forward to hearing from you Susun and from learning from you.

Hello Susun

I was an artist on your links page quite a while ago, at the time I only
briefly looked into your work and life and just thought that you had good
info on your site and lots of cool links. Since then I have started over
with my life and thankfully you have put my new link on your links page, NOW
I felt a big pull to read more and more of your articles on your site , in
fact I feel very drawn to read as much of your Wise Woman’s Ways as possible,
I aim to buy your books in the next couple of weeks.

I am 50 , my children are grown men now and I am starting a whole new phase of my life. Before reading about you I felt some trepidation with some of the things I was feeling, and what some of the awful things doctors had said to me, Now I don’t , now I am filled with excitement with all the things I am feeling, learning, and fun!!! I want to thank you Susun, you are a wonderful inspiration.

I don’t know whether you will see this, you must have thousands of feedback
mail , but just writing it has made me feel I have thanked you for being
there as an inspiration.

Love and Blessings
Morgaine X

Hi karen,

I don't know if you remember me, but you helped me about a 1 1/2 years ago. I had ammenorrea and was having difficulty conceiving. With your help and daily herbal infusions, I now have a beautiful baby girl. She is 3 months old.

Thanks so much for you help:)
Sincerely,
Lindsay

Dear Susun,

I happened on your site yesterday by divine guidance. Many of the things you say to do and eat/drink, I have been doing as I follow my body's requests. I am 51 and going through menopausal symptoms and I really appreciated the info on a UTUBE interview you did w/ Alan Steinfield. I shall approach menopause from a different point of view now.

I have been interested in herbs and plant for a few years now and a couple of years ago also started foraging (but still learning). I like your approach on herbs.....

I just love your energy and approach on life and the way you explain what it means to be an herbalist. I am part Italian and part Greek. My mother and grandmother taught me how to use some herbs for certain ailments (I remember my grandmother making me a strong cinnamon stick tea for my menstrual cramps as they were really bad and it always worked!). My friends think that I know so much about herbs but I am the one doubting myself even though I am an herbalist (as, according to your words, if your use herbs you are one), and I even started making my own lip balms and rose water at home. Now that I know how to make an oil infusion (thanks to you), I can start making healing balms as well.

I am in a major transition, as I quit my main income job. For a while now, I have been "playing" with the thought of wanting to work with the earth and having my own garden. I live in an apartment but trust that soon I shall have a little house with a big back yard so that I can start growing my herbs. As as soon as I have the means, I want to take the correspondence course so that I can feel more confident about my being an herbalist.

I know I have said a lot, but I feel a connection to you. THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING WHO YOU ARE!

In gratitude,
Antonietta

Hi Susun,

I attended a menopause talk you held at a yoga studio here in S. Jersey many years ago; you gave the recipe for a 3rd eye tincture that has since been lost in a house move. I've tried my hardest and can't remember the ingredients... would you mind giving the recipe again? I also wanted to say that your Spring Tonics class was a joy to attend and delicious. I hope someday to attend again (if I ever get a vacation!). I still dream about the homemade bread, butter, & chickweed salad.

Yours,
Jenn

FINALLY found time to finish your wonderful menopause book. just wanted to thank you -- so insightful. definitely makes me wish i'd thought through having kids so late -- hoping not to have one in puberty when my menopause peaks, but armed w/plenty of herbal allies and your wise words, i know we'll be fine. still on the fence about the mammogram--everyone keeps nagging me b/c my mom had breast cancer, but not until she was ~80 after--yep--YEARS of mammograms! apparently our local hospital has a low-dose (radiation) machine, but i'm still wary, and i wonder why they don't use ultrasound?? the older i get, the more i lose respect for western medicine on the whole. anyway, sorry to ramble, and thank you.

xo.

Im sure you get told this all the time, but your book is invaluable!!!!
