Hi and Greetings to all,

I've been lurking for the past two weeks, soaking in all you have had
to say on my daily digests, and I figured it would be about time I'd
introduce myself.

A little history:

First, I'd like to say (brag?) that I actually had the intense
pleasure of meeting Susun Weed and eating lunch with her at the same
table when she did an all day talk at Jocelyn Allen's in Ontario. If
Susun reads this, I was the one wearing the brilliant orange dress
with little mirrors all over it. Anyway, I found her to be completely
amazing, energetic (all that nettle I presume) , intense, intelligent
beyond wise, and so much more, I'm hooked on Susun!!!

Finally Im in a position financially to start taking her
correspondence courses, so I started with the Wise woman tradition
one. Seemed to fit where I am currently. I've been studying both the
medicinal and metaphysical uses of herbs, trees, plants in general and
crystals too since I was a teen ( now 38) and there is so much more
for me to learn. I am too a Green Witch, to the general public though
I say Im an esoteric non-denominational spiritualist, but I've been
Wiccan for as long as I can recall. My paternal Grandfather was a
chemist and botanist and my mother a nurse, so the healing field is
naturally come by (besides, aren't all women healers anyway???)

I got my first book for my course yesterday (yippee) I was so very
excited, I opened it up, and Susun had autographed it addressed to
me, I actually cried. Not sure why, guess that I was stunned that
someone I respect so much took the time to do that for little ole
me. :-) I showed my two girls ( ten and eleven - both green witches
too) when they came home from school, they thought it was too cool.

Well now I'm off to start reading my first Susun Weed book.. Bright
Blessings and Green ones at that, to you all, and aren't we the lucky
ones to have found a person like Susun Weed!!!

Keep smiling.

Tahena

Hi Susun,

I found your work when I began menopause and was looking for an energy
related answer to what my body was going through. I was happy to find a
reference on the web to hot flashes and kundalini, as that was my intuition
as well.

Thanks for providing support for an alternative approach to our bodies
changes as we grow older.

Thanks for all that you do!!!

Shaeri

Dear Susun,

First of all thank you for writing "Wise women herbal for the childbearing year", I absolutely love it! It actually makes me feel as if I am in control of my pregnancy and birth instead of the midwives (who by the way are as useful as suntan in Northern Scotland: NOT!).

…have a lovely day!

Savannah

Hello, a big H e l l o from Juliette

I have to apologize to all of you not to response your birthdaymails and cards for Juliette. Too much bussy time shifted me in the hectic christmas day's and later I had - N O T - the courage anymore to respond, but enough is enough.
The birthdayparty was a greate success. Swani, a german friend of Juliette, Dimitri with his wife, also friends of Juliette from Kythera and we (Luz, Adaya and me) were there, the reading of mails from all over the world, the cakes and the fact, Juliette was again the center, became a bright shinig spot in her memory.

Juliette is fine, not so rebellious anymore, seemed to respect the fact, this is the last station of the "draino" befor it arrives. We are visiting her frequently, but she like it always, if I can read her a mail of her friends from the past. You are verry welcome to write her a mail, what I promise to read to her.

We still live on the hills of Emmental, but I moved my office down in the village, in a huge old house, where I expose my restored chests with the purpose to sell. I opened therefore a new page, look at www.antiktruhe.ch . I also want to sell my house in Kythera (it is needed for Adayas education). I hope, all goes well and that we all stay in good health.

All the best, Gunter

Hi,

I was just reading over your site …

Thank you so much for your time and making sure that the knowledge of our
great grandmothers does not die.

Dear Susun,

you've never heard of me and we'll probably never meet. But I wish to thank
you today of all days, because I'm now "officially" entering menopause - as
of this month - and you've been very much instrumental in my finding the
food "remedies" I need to enjoy my Changing years... the herbs, the mental
framework, the acceptance...

Thing is - and it's the reason I feel compelled to write - I got the title
of your book when I was in my early twenties... I don't remember under what
circumstances, not knowing who you were, what your energy was like or
anything... but somehow KNOWING - even at 20
- that I would turn out to be the kind of woman who would appreciate your
learning, wisdom and vision...

I'm now 52. And I've turned into that beautiful kind of woman... It took a
few months of misery before your name popped up in my mind again, but then I
found your site, I got your book and I watched you on video... and you're
exactly as I "knew" you at 20...

I celebrate your beauty... and your wise woman ways...

Thanks to you, my Change has become a sacred journey!

Happy Love Day!

Sylvie

Dear Susun,

I just wanted to express how much I enjoyed your lecture. It was very informative and entertaining and your transmission was excellent. I was not bored at any moment during your talk.

In fact, when you sang the Linden song the healing frequency hit my heart and I knew that was an herb I needed to take since I have been diagnosed with a weak heart by a Qigong master.

I look forward to more of your teachings.

With Love & Light,
Felicia

Dear Susun,

I am 35 yrs old and have been trying to get pregnant but with no results and was told about your books and website and cannot believe what I have been missing out.

…Rachel

Dear Susun,

I wanted to thank you for the books I recently ordered during the holiday season, Healing Wise and and Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Years.
Not only are they wonderful, beautiful books (and a special treat since I have been living in Spain for five years and we do not get so many books in English out here), but they were also signed and personalized by you, which warmed my heart more than opening the package and recieving them.

The information is GREAT, and is helping me a lot with my friends, with my family, and as a doula (a profession which I have just recently finished the training for). It is a great compliment to what I have learned during my training course, and in my practice, and I am looking forward to sharing it with my co-doulas.

…. I am mesmerized by the Wise Woman Way of healing and health. I didn't realize there was a name and techinque to how I had been living my life medically, and glad to know that there is a network and group of people who are living following these ideals and promoting it to other women and men.

Hopefully, one day, when I am back and settled in the States I will be able to join one of your workshops or internships. For now, I will promote and act as best as I can.

Thank you again. For your ideas, clarity, passion.

Salud,
Janine

Hi Susun-

Over the years I have taken a number of courses for my own study. I took a correspondence course with Rosemary Gladstar and a 4 month hands on course with Wendy Fogg at Misty Meadows. For the last 4 years I have been in a state of transition and other then making my own tinctures , teas and salves, I haven’t been growing herbs or harvesting them. I would like a jump start and would like to take one of your courses.

They all sound wonderful …
Blessings Pam

Good mornng Susun,

…Thank you!

Hi Susun:

My name is Johanna and my nutritionist has turned me on to herbal infusion teas. I can't believe I've lived without them for so long! What largely sold me was an excerpt from your book "Healing Wise" as well as a chart that Rose Barlow put together called the "Nutritional Analysis of Wild Foods…
