Hi

I just found your site as i've been searching for something like this. An introduction into plant spirit medicine. …Love that you take on apprentiships and wish i could be part of it.

Cheers

… Today I really needed to talk to someone, and I connected with your presentation as wise woman.

all of my best to you,
sincerely Margot

Dear Susun,

I have read all of your books and watched many of your videos on youtube and
I am amazed with the amount of energy and passion you have for healing and
spirituality. … I wish to work further with the land, living my life with good
nutrition and the passion that you show.

I live in Australia and believe it or not, there aren't many covens that
teach what you do and the things you say have been the things I have been
looking for in my life as a gay man and as a spiritual being. So, all I am
really asking is some advice on how I can learn the mysteries of the land,
of life, loe and health as you and the wise woman tradition do.

Stay well, enjoy life and keep up the excellent work,

cerberusbindweed

Hi Susun,

I'm from Scotland and happened to come across a YouTube video of yourself on the topic of "Raw versus Cooked Foods" and I thought you put up a wonderful argument for eating cooked foods and that is saying something as I always believed, erroneously, that it was better to eat raw foods than cooked foods!!! Also after googling your name I came across your wonderful website and am now enjoying reading the many wonderful articles that you have written. I find myself agreeing to everything that you say and believe me this is so totally out of character for me, because if someone says White (or Black, moreso!!!) I'll say Black (or White , as I'm always right!!). …

I'm sure I was meant to come across your article "Using Weeds Safely" as it answered all the questions and worries that I had regarding the use of herbal remedies… I'm keen to learn more about herbs and once I get back to better health I'm seriously considering enrolling on one of your apprenticeships/workshops….

Love and green blessings from Scotland
Eileen

Hi Susun,

thank you for all your wise woman advice.
I do not take vitamin supplements. I love seaweed.
I am now in the seventh week of pregnancy and I ordered Nettle leaf, Red Raspberry leaf and Red Clover tops (dried organic bulk herbs).

Thank you very much,
Jayashri

Hello!

I had read your book on The Childbearing Year in 1995 and 1998 and it was so useful. I was able to use the blue and black cohosh during delivery. My doula had never heard of this, so I helped educate her, through your wisdom! Within minutes of taking the drops, my body expelled the placenta. Incredible. I am a true believer in your herbal remedies.

Many goddess blessings to you!
Warmest regards,
Alena

Dear Susun,

… I've read almost every single article/interview and video on your site and I'm only sorry I didn't encounter you a long long time ago. You are an incredibly wise and intelligent woman. You have no Dr/MD qualification but you have more brains and speak more sense than any physician I've ever met.

Kind regards
Eileen

Hi Susun,

For years I have read your stories in Sage woman and just recently
have needed your book - Breast Health. Thank you for writing it
because it is giving me alternatives to the Tamoxifen that my
oncologist is bound to put me on.

I have a quick question for you - do you have resources for infused
oils. Unfortunately I do not have a yard to plant fresh herbs to use
in infusions. If someone out there has created these oils in your
recommended fashion I would love to be able to buy some. Please let
me know whenever you can.

And, thank you, thank you for all the work you do to support the
earth, women and us gals trying to make sure we don't get cancer
again. Blessings and much love.

In light,
Diana

PS - loved your You Tube posting on Nettles.

Dear Karen,

Thank you so much for taking time to answer my e-mail. It was very kind of you. … and why did I suddenly find Susun's article *Using Herbs Safely and Wisely" I reckon, some sort of force directed me towards Susun and Susun's article. I don't believe in God but I'm not too sure now!!!

…The beauty of Herbs!!!

Kind regards
Eileen

Greetings Susun-

Hello Ms. Weed or hello to who is reading this email.

I am a child of a wise woman. I am 25 years of age. … I have a copy of The Childbearing Year. The only thing is the book is a first edition. It helped my mom through all four of her children. She gave it to me a couple of years ago. The information in the book is excellent. …

I also wanted to let you know that your book, The Childbearing Year, has changed my life. I was pregnant earlier this year and it ended in miscarriage. Your book really gave me piece of mind through that tough time. …

In closing, thank you for doing what you do.
Thanks Susun.
Love, Lora

Susun, …

Thank you for telling
us the right way to do breast self-massage. I really look foward to all your
emails.

Dear, dear Susun,

Thank you for being and for your generous time. I've just recently found you and now have your menopause book which has now become my bible. And I'm now been inspired to be a health nut and I'm loving it!

Wishing you all the best and Green Blessings,
Jacqui

Dear Susun,

Hi my name is Rebecca, and I am a Herbalist. I have been working as a herbalist for 17 yrs, and currently I work for Australian Bush Flower Essences for 1/2 the week, and the other days, in a (regular) pharmacy giving natural health advice, which is kind of like going into another culture, but I guess there’s no use “preaching to the choir”, at least I’m talking with lots of people who would otherwise not have herbal advice.

Any how the reason for my email...I have read and referred to your book on the Childbearing Year for many yrs, since my own daughter was born. (She is now 18 yrs old)…

I thankyou for the many times I have sought your assistance over the years via your book. I very much appreciate your assistance, both via your book, and now.

Yours sincerely, Rebecca

Dear Susun,

Its wonderful to receive the newsletter. I am considering a meditation tape, but have not decided which one yet...

Hi Susun:

Yesterday an associate mentioned your name and I immediately looked you up on the internet. Wow, am I impressed and I am eager to learn more about what you have to offer.

Hi Susun,

My friend Erin is currently studying with you, and told me about the upcoming moon lodge on April 24th. We are in a women's circle in Brooklyn, and I am hoping some of the women will attend the moon lodge with me. … I am really looking forward to it.

Best,
Devin

Dear Susun,

It's wonderful to know there is a group of spiritual/sage women that I can turn to for some answers. When I was at one of my lows in 2006, I searched for something like this and am so glad I made the connection. You guys have come a long way in building this wealth of information to your wonderful website to share with others. I've seen the enhancements over the last three years and want to follow your teachings. Unfortunately, I get so caught up trying to make ends meet in this big city that I forget to keep up with you.

Thank you for … keeping me on your email list.

Love & Peace
Ava

What an amazingly thorough and information rich website.

Thank You Both!

I just started reading Menopausal Years. I am 44 and have been clearly on this journey for several years now. It is culminating with more intense symptoms lately.
The book is perfectly wonderful and gives me the permission I think I needed to respect and embrace this experience more fully.

Thank you Susun, and thank you Sherry for giving me this book and helping to guide me through this modern world with ancient wisdom.
Collette

Greetings Susun,

Osiyo! (Hello! in Cherokee)

I have been enjoying--well, soaking up like a (luffa?) sponge--your wonderful web publications. Thank you so much for being so very generous, sharing not only your knowledge and wisdom, but your exuberant love of All Our Relations.

I would like to gift you with a gemstone totem necklace, made just for you, as a Stone People companion. Oh, you probably have lots and lots of them--but I would be honored to make you another...or a bracelet, or a medicine bag, or...your choosing.

I would also like to take your ABC course.

I went outside this morning and found that we have chickweed--guess what's for lunch! I have been making nettle infusion-yum! We grow mints and other herbs and dry them for tea, which everyone loves. I have now started making them as infusions-thanks again! We are all excited about honey, we have our first hive this year. I am going to buy some local raw honey and start adding herbs, as directed in one of your lessons...and make the bone-building vinegar(s) and make tinctures and.... and...

I am in my mid 50's and have always always loved plants and herbs. In high school, I had the extreme good fortune to go on a 6 week 'primitive' backpacking trip throughout the wilderness areas of the national parks out west with a few students and our biology teacher--we wrote 10 page papers each week by coleman lantern. My subject was edible and useful plants in the varied biomes of the western and southwestern states....(Euell Gibbons was my hero) So here I am making the circle zing around again...

So...please let me know about the necklace and the course...at your convenience.
Wado (Thanks!)
Wisatologi Nihi! (Many Blessings on Your Path!)
Annette

Dear Susun,

Where do I begin! A year ago last February I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I was nursing my one year old son and thought I had a plugged duct. It took a few months but I was a Bradley Instructor and my sister is a LLL so we knew after a few months that something wasn’t right since I didn’t exhibit a full body fever and the fever was only in my breast…. During this time I was given your book and I started taking a few classes from one of your students. Obviously I have spent many days and nights wondering what I did wrong…..I didn’t eat healthy enough….what did I touch. So your book was so therapeutic to me as far as looking forward and focusing my attention on what food I can eat now for healing. I didn’t eat much after my diagnosis because I looked at food as the enemy, but after reading your book I cooked lentils and I feel fabulous about what good I’m restoring to my body! After chemo an MRI showed my cancer was completely gone… Fast forward….Two weeks ago I did the DIEP flap and my doctor says I am recovering amazingly well. Since chemo I have done clever infusions and since radiation I dole on the lanolin, vitamin e and pure aloe and I take turmeric and melatonin…..so that’s what I’m doing now after surgery. (I fared really well in radiation as well because of my daily rituals and the turmeric!)

I am so happy to be free of this…..even though it broke my heart to wean my baby and lose that time with him, I’m so thankful I can be mom to my 8, 4 and 2 year old. Thanks so much for your books and your words of encouragement to women…
Sincerely,

Jen

Came across your site via Fab40--I was reading an article there with lots of great info on herbal help for many of my menopausal issues that the doctor's been no help with. Went browsing aroud your site--lots of helpful remedies and advice-many thanks!
Vickie

Hi Susun,

I just sooo love you Herbal Ezine. What an amazing abundance to be found there. I enjoy the inspiration and information each and every time. Actually, I love seeing your precious granddaughter as she is growing. I am so in love with my granddaughter...gonna see her in a week or so...she called me yesterday to be sure we would be able to stay up late and snuggle up in the bed and create more amazing stories. I asured her that certianly we would be able to stay up a bit later than usual, afterall, I am the Grandmother! She just giggled at me.

Chickweed and cleavers are singing out on the land down here! It has really been wet so I am hoping that Sunday I might be able to find some Chckweed that is dry enough to get into some oil...we shall see....Hopeing all is good a well with you and your loved ones up there.
