Visit the Wise Woman Center!
The image of the Goddess or “feminine” is key to the transformation of our culture. The feminine essence touches us at a deep level reminding us of the importance of a life balanced with both masculine and feminine energy.
Wise Woman Center -- Workshops
for Women
Join us this year for spirit healing and herbal
medicine workshops, intensives,
and apprenticeships
with Susun Weed and other Wise
Woman teachers. The Wise Woman Center in Woodstock NY exists
to re-weave the healing cloak of the Ancients. This land, this
sacred sanctuary for women is a place for the teachings of the
Wise Woman way. The Goddess lives here, as do goats, fairies,
green witches, and elders. Located between Woodstock and Saugerties,
5 miles from the NYS Thruway, the Wise Woman Center is easily
accessible while private enough for nude swimming. You'll receive
a map and directions when you register. Nourishing wild-food vegetarian
meals are included with all workshops.

“Mother Goddess” by Suzanne Cheryl Gardner
Painting the Goddess energy has been my celebration of the ongoing rhythm of life. Her blue color symbolizes the waters of life and the spirals are those of the patterns of nature itself and all creation. The Goddess is the tree of life, with the seed and her creative forces she is the giver of life. She represents a wholeness unto herself yet she is empowered by the male—the energy of action. In ancient cultures this was represented by the horns of animals. Both masculine and feminine having an equal place in creation. I see it all around me, the Goddess energy at work. Men are being validated for their intuition and feelings. Women are calling up the warrior within to make changes in their lives, thus the world. The Goddess is an ancient sacred energy, one of holiness (wholeness).
BIO: Suzanne Cheryl Gardner's fresh, whimsical, childlike, brightly colored tempera paintings reflect her inner emotions. Her paintings often include the shadow, but she believes, “The key to transforming the dark is to accept it fully as being ok. That ‘change of perspective’ will allow you to see it as the light it really is.” Suzanne Cheryl Gardner also creates “Empowerment Paintings” on commission embodying images and symbols to inspire and empower individuals, couples, families or groups.
