http://www.prodigalgardens.info/ The Prodigal Gardens website is a virtual herbwalk through the seasons of the year, giving witness to the harvesting and preparation activities of Rose Barlow-Allsup, an independent herbalist who spends much time a-field. Rose lives in southwestern Wisconsin and has access to diverse ecosystems of deciduous forest, farms, marsh, river, and prairie. Her month-to-month weblog profiles useful in-season plants and wild foods, including lots of how-to information on harvesting, medicinal uses and preparations, nutritional values, and recipes. The main thrust of the information presented is on wild foods and the nutritional significance of herbal medicine. The site also includes numerous articles and a generous sprinkling of herbal wisdom.

http://www.fairiesworld.com/ and http://www.flowerfaeries.com/ - the sites of fantasy artist Myrea Pettit. I have always loved art, flowers, fairies, butterflies and all the little creatures that I love to paint and dress up in period costumes. Though I am totally self taught my fairytale highlight was to discover in Sweden Ann Mari Sjogren whose book 'A Day in Fairyland' was so successful in the USA. Her book was a great influence on my childhood art and being able to visit and work with her when she was in her 88th year was an amazing experience. I am very flattered to be invited to present a selection of my work to you.

Each artisan using her gifts, talents, and skill will offer new themed items each first Friday of every month. The idea behind this collaboration is to offer the world handmade goods that the "big name stores" do not carry, bringing our customers pleasure and a sense of connection. We also support grassroots organizations that can offer people a chance to make their lives better ~ following our dream of a peaceful world. Something … opening March 2.
