Intimate, in this case, refers to a woman’s genitals, which Christina’s work portrays with subtle colors and in loving detail. While the term portrait usually refers to the depiction of a face, Christina’s Yoni Portraits show the yoni (Indian term for vulva) in all her individuality and beauty.
